Teflon Tape

Teflon tape (also known as PTFE tape) is an absolute essential for most plumbing projects.

Teflon Tape is a common, inexpensive and effective thin white tape used to seal pipe threads being joined together for plumbing jobs.

It is made of a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) film tape. It is also treated with sodium or special reagent on one side, then coated with adhesive. Its physical composition allows it to fill pipe threads and fitting threads with a sealant that will prevent water from leaking through the thread connection.
